The guy hasn't been on here or posted for some time. Maybe something has happened in his life that has taken him away from the passion he once had. Just leave him be. If he returns, he returns. If he doesn't remember him for what he did and what he provided for the community. Remember you are posting on LMT which has nothing to do with what he does on a personal level. He hasn't promoted his website for some time and presumably has come to an end.
From a personal level, my love for library has waned slightly. Now, that doesn't mean I'm done with it, but things happen in life. I suspect things will pick up for me later in the year. With my life in motorsport, it's chaos at the moment and things won't die down until the end of the year so my active days here on LMT are more in the winter but I still look on this place with great fondness even in the summer months where it's a few mins a week.
The other thing to bear in mind is personal finances. Running a website, purchasing vinyl or cd's has become over the last 20 years or so incredibly expensive. A certain auction site I frequented has been over-run by those that want maximum £££ or $$$ etc. Times are hard and people move on. I'm incredibly fortunate to have been in there early and provided a ton of my personal music or those that upgraded my tiresome MP3's to FLAC when hard drive space became cheaper but lets not forget that all of this takes time an money. Again, Retromatic may not be in a good place financially. I personally haven't been in touch with him for months, so I'd say leave him be. IF he posts here on LMT and says he's financially in a spot of bother and requests help with a 'fund me' page or similar, those interested will support him. If not, his shares will become a thing of the past. What's important here is again, remember him for what he gave up his time and hard earnt money for.
Take care all !
