Mediafire links
« on: August 24, 2025, 02:20:23 PM »
Hello everyone! I wanted to make a post about mediafire links in case it hasn't been discussed yet (I searched the forum and didn't see any discussions about this). I've seen some complaints about mediafire lately and errors downloading through jDownloader etc, some new thing they have that says blocked by Cloudflare or something. Or having to be premium to download certain things. Now this trick I'm about to show you won't work if it is a folder full of single files, but if it is a compressed archive (zip, rar), this gets jDownloader to work again with mediafire links.

It's a bit annoying if you have dozens of links (like I currently do catching up on that huge DeWolfe 78s post by a8detective!), but this does bypass those annoying errors, so if you can make a clickable linklist it helps a lot (I found this site, pastelink that allows you to post raw text links and it gives you hyperlinks). So here's what you do. You open the mediafire link, and you are presented with a download button and a plea to give them money. The download button should be on the right and is blue. What you want to do is left click on the downoad button, but hold the click and drag the button from the page into your jDownloader. It seems silly, but this works and bypasses any Cloudflare or wait time stuff.

I personally love mediafire links because they almost never die and they download without speed limits. I wish more people would use mediafire instead of the temporary file lockers like swisstransfer and that mega alternative. Look at the GIF below for a demonstration of this method.

BWP check your private messages, send you one regarding getting some things reuploaded.

You won't get an alert about it as it's broken because the forum version is so old and they won't fix it.

Mediafire works fine for me. I am having severe problems downloading from Pixeldrain though. Has anyone else experienced this? The files seem to download fine for a few seconds then the download just suddenly stops, then after a few minutes sitting there stopped it says "Failed - network error". I've tried three different computers on the same BT router and they all do the same thying. The downloads almost never finish, and on the rare occasions when they do, the downloaded archives have about half the files missing.

Curious. I have no problem with Pixeldrain whether uploading/downloading in France or England. My only guess is it might be either your country location or inconsistent internet connection for which Mediafire is more forgiving.

On the other hand Mediafire forces me to download apps I don't want (Opera being the latest) by seeking permission to jointly download a file from Mediafire and, in this case, an Opera ZIP. You can't opt for one without the other. Whilst I'm prepared to put up with this I am especially cautious when downloading from Mediafire.

Have you tried using jDownloader2? Using my method above I don't get anything asked of me by mediafire

Thanks BWP. I did read your post a while back but hadn't had the chance to investigate further. I've now installed the app and understand better the advantages of using it. It seems I have much to learn from this old pirate, eh?!!
