Hello everyone! I wanted to make a post about mediafire links in case it hasn't been discussed yet (I searched the forum and didn't see any discussions about this). I've seen some complaints about mediafire lately and errors downloading through jDownloader etc, some new thing they have that says blocked by Cloudflare or something. Or having to be premium to download certain things. Now this trick I'm about to show you won't work if it is a folder full of single files, but if it is a compressed archive (zip, rar), this gets jDownloader to work again with mediafire links.
It's a bit annoying if you have dozens of links (like I currently do catching up on that huge DeWolfe 78s post by a8detective!), but this does bypass those annoying errors, so if you can make a clickable linklist it helps a lot (I found this site, pastelink that allows you to post raw text links and it gives you hyperlinks). So here's what you do. You open the mediafire link, and you are presented with a download button and a plea to give them money. The download button should be on the right and is blue. What you want to do is left click on the downoad button, but hold the click and drag the button from the page into your jDownloader. It seems silly, but this works and bypasses any Cloudflare or wait time stuff.
I personally love mediafire links because they almost never die and they download without speed limits. I wish more people would use mediafire instead of the temporary file lockers like swisstransfer and that mega alternative. Look at the GIF below for a demonstration of this method.
