Extreme Music Library
« on: February 13, 2025, 05:54:51 PM »

Series of British CD/digital releases under Extreme Production Music Library.

The majority of its cues were licensed from the German publisher Brillant-Musik, who holds the rights to a lot of Werner Tautz and Heinz Kiessling's works, some of which was previously issued on Harmonic Mood Music Library, as well as various German easy listening labels.

On another thread "Non Stop Music" (https://librarymusicthemes.com/index.php?topic=5996.0)there was a request to upload some Extreme Music.  So, in order to keep our house in order, I've created a separate thread.  Feel free to get involved.

Below is a link to a Mega folder with the cd's from XEL 01-30 and the two CD's I have.  The Christmas album is an MP3, whereas the rest is in a lossless format.  Hopefully someone can continue and provide some albums to fill the gaps from 30 onwards.

For completeness I am reposting from the Non-Stop thread:

+1 for Extreme.  I have the original albums XEL 1-30 if you or anyone is interested.  They were shared on the forum some time ago.  As for the cd run, it's not really a run as I only have 08 and 17 as one is a Christmas album and the other a 70's disco themed.  Haven't really delved or looked into their cd's to be fair.
I'm on the lookout for a number of XELs to upgrade my lossy versions. So any contributions gratefully received! For starters I can offer XELs 44, 51 and 53-55 in lossless here == h***s://mega.nz/folder/xxoFzagT#UZwfuW9BgtBFIVWhoOffDA

Thanks for jumping on board Nidostar, I'll grab those you have offered.  Big thanks for the link.  I'll have a listen to these over the weekend.

I've now added XELs 33, 34, 40, 43, 48 and 49 all in lossless to the linked folder above.

Thank you, great stuff!

XCD 008 seems to be missing the full-length version of track 7.

Thanks for your shares Tony.

The problem I find with Brilliant-Musik is that every so often they remove songs from the Extreme catalogue. What I have found is that some of the albums I have include tracks which are missing from Tony's share. Probably because I downloaded them as far back as 2008 before they were removed. Unfortunately because of their age the missing tracks I have are only in MP3 but better than a poke in the eye, I think! The albums concerned are XELs 13, 17 and 18. They are included in the folder link above.

I have also added XEL 008 Sweet And Swing in lossless which is missing from Tony's collection. You'll also find missing track 3 from the original XEL 026 and track 7 from Crime Time 2 again both these tracks are in MP3.

It all seems a little messy but I hope it makes sense.

I have now added three more XELs to the folder on Mega. They are 31, 32 and 56. All three are in MP3.

For XEL 056 I have added the original title of each song because, apart from withdrawing songs from the original releases, the owner has also decided to change the titles à la Fay Gibbs. Thankfully I have been able to find the original titles. They appear in brackets after the currently adopted title. Mind you I must say some of the new titles whilst corny are quite amusing.

Thanks to both of you for the Extreme uploads. I often wondered why some library tracks are deleted from libraries, I suppose it's to do with different agreements with the composers, particularly for older tracks. I'd imagine that now agreements for new tracks are different with rights being held in perpetuity by the production company.

You’re probably correct redwave. All to do with publishing rights I expect. What does puzzle me is why publishers change the titles of songs. It only goes to help confuse us more.

I have the Super Salvation (VERSION 0.1) DVD as well as the Extreme Music Easy Listening, Passport to the World, Twisted, and the two Ultimate Classix DVDs I got from Ebay, I've slowly started ripping them to add to my library.
