I don't understand the idea of ripping an album as one file.

This is vinyl. LPs are usually ripped that way.
I don't have time for separating the tracks, and especially when I only like one or two tracks on the album.
Good separating would include fade in/fade out for each track, naming and tagging...

I usually only cut out the tracks I like and put them on my compilations.
Separating and tagging the tracks on around 2000 albums in my collection...yes, please, send me a secretary to do it.

Maybe somebody else could do it? I'm just serving up the material.

I find it sad that this thread should have displayed such ingratitude amongst some fellow members.

Here we have a polite request for a share of a particular album which a respected member of this forum then obliges us with. Only to be met with criticism for not having split the rip into individual tracks. Whether it is down to fellow members not speaking English as a native language, I don't know. But to respond with such rudeness to the share with comments like "I don't understand the idea of ripping an album as one file" and "lack of time, laziness?" are frankly unacceptable. Be grateful that @tuneboy took the time to share the album with us at all. If I were him I'd certainly think twice before sharing albums in the future.

I'm reassured somewhat by the fact that other members, like me, are grateful for the share. Thank you @tuneboy.

I appreciate that someone rips and shares records from their collections, but I don't understand the idea of not dividing them into individual tracks. It was explained to me that there was no time and I accept it. Don't I have the right to my own opinion? Especially since it wasn't a personal attack but an expression of my opinion.

Of course you're entitled to your own opinion as I am to mine. I just feel that to question a member's contribution to the forum in this way suggests to me a lack of gratitude. It was clear from another recent post from @tuneboy that he was very busy on another project hence his acknowledging from the outset that his rip was in one file.

Allow me to explain. In English to attribute "laziness" to someone without any humorous qualification, as your post did, is considered offensive.
