Here's a long lost Hi-Q for you guys. I'm pretty sure almost nobody here was aware the S category even got this high! Since the last S reel to be documented before this was 53/54, this means there are roughly 30 more within this range still waiting to be found, if that!

You can find this in my main Hi-Q folder as well.

Enjoy!

Well done, Certainly! Some lovely transition cues in this, let's hope with a little bit of luck, the remaining missing S-series albums will show up someday.

Thanks, Certainly! I'm curious, though, what's the big significance of this Reel? Everyone seems extra excited with this one. Were these cues in something famous?

This reel is notable, due to the fact that before this was documented, we originally thought that the S Reels went up to S-53/S-54, but since this came to light, now we know that there were more S Reels than we thought.

Pretty much this. I'm unaware if these cues were used in anything of interest though.

As it stands, many of these 'lost' Hi-Qs seemingly have OK cues. The ones between 55 thru 82 likely do as well, though maybe there's some other composers thrown in there too. I think this might be a good opportunity to repost the list of missing Hi-Q albums from the bigger Capitol thread. There may be a few I neglected or are circulating somewhere, so bare with me if I got something incorrect:

   MISSING D REELS
D-20, (Original, Bluestone/Cadkin. Technically not 'missing' since there's a reel-to-reel copy on Discogs at the moment. Price is out of my ballpark unfortunately.)
D-25/D-26
D-31/D-32, (A single cue from each side shows up in Night of the Living Dead, but other than that, this one is pretty much lost.)
D-34
D-36
D-38, (Last cue only, maybe it's somewhere on a CPM album?)
D-45/D-46
D-51/D-52, (Original? It was on Production Music Wiki with a 1958 catalog code (HB-2251/HB-2252) before getting removed. Revised version is from the late 60s.)
D-55/D-56, (Original, unknown composer, but tracklisting is available.)
D-67 to D-90, (Existence unconfirmed aside from 89/90)
D-91/D-92, (Replacement, Dan Kirsten. Most of 91 and a bit of 92 are available on MEAS-10.)
D-105/D-106, (Original, Eugene Poddany)
D-113/D-114
D-115/D-116, (https://americanhistory.si.edu/collections/nmah_669142. JB-2814/JB-2813, indicating a 1959 release. Tracklist and composers unknown.)

There's no doubt in my mind that much of the "lost" reels also have a lot of music with the "MR" and "SM" (written by Alexander Laszlo) prefixes. The D-series sampler Doug's shared here has several SMs and one MR from Loose/Cadkin/Cookerly, and the ASCAP database has many other dramatic tracks with the "MR" prefix under Loose's name as well.

What I'm curious about if there's any more with the "TI" prefix besides the original L-65/66, along with potentially other prefixes nobody knows about on some of these replaced/removed reels. That one album intrigues me as to what's on it, only since it's the only one out there with photogs available with that prefix. Ditto the original "HM" cues as seen on D-55/56 and one of the "S" albums.
