SPOILER ALERT!! My God, Retro, you certainly know how to request bloody good music. I just listened to the Bruton album (BR 641) and I was blown away. The energy of the female vocalist coupled with the amazing horn section is fantastic. Hard to imagine an album this good came from a production library house. It certainly brightened my day. Thanks ChunYinZi for sharing it.

String Soul Beat is a brilliant compilation. Thanks Retro. I notice Neil Richardson's Incandescence has managed to creep in. A good track IMO. It was used as the theme to Southern Television's weekly news magazine programme Day By Day in the 60s. Never thought I'd hear it in a soul compilation!!
