Thanks for all of these winter2014. They help to square the circle re Syd Dale works. Though it is a curious collection. I haven't listened to all of them yet but from what I have heard so far there don't appear to be any original Syd Dale compositions but rather instrumental versions of hits from the early eighties. Some are good and some are less so. The synth strings intro to Uptown Girl, for example, sounds more like something you'd hear on a karaoke laser disc at the time. But overall the music is not unlike that released by Surrey House Music. Certainly Surrey House included five similar tracks by Syd on their CD 7002 Ronnie, Ron & Syd so I'm wondering if there is a connection. Can anyone fill the gaps in my knowledge?
