Irving Martin is best known for being a record producer. With Brian Dee he has written a number of tunes on Bruton albums. Way back in 1968 he was just 22 and produced an album which was released on the Deram label called Martin's Magic Sounds. It's another I bought around 1970 this time in, I think, the record department of Debenhams in Brighton. At the time Polydor were renowned for producing very high audio quality albums featuring the likes of Bert Kaempfert, James Last etc. This Deram album comes as a complete surprise. The audio quality is second to none as is the overall production. If you've had a long day or a difficult week this is the ideal album to sit down and listen to with a glass of your favourite tipple.
