KPM 1244 - Handplayed by Robots
« on: February 11, 2023, 09:12:42 PM »
Hello there,

on this particular LP there is a track that was the theme song of a German investigational magazine called "SPIEGEL TV". Back then, the "SPIEGEL" made fantastic, multi-hour reportages and comparibly feared journalism. When that song played you knew some company or politician did something bad (I mean, really big affairs) and they get exposed very soon.

The particular song is called "MOBILE UNIT".

Would be a little TV gem for my treasure chest :)

I'm not sure if you want just the 'Mobile Unit' track or the whole album.  To be fair, the album is definitely worth a listen.

Enjoy !

I did!

Firt of all: Thank you! Such a swift response, you guys and gals never let anyone down!

Also, this is a fantastic album and typical early-80s KPM quality! I've gotten some keepers out of it to go along with MOBILE UNIT. This must also be one of the most versatile albums I have heard. Usually, albums consist of more or less equal songs. I mean, if it's called "Robot Technology" or something, I don't expect ballades. But on this album, everything's there:

Brass Fanares, cute and calm ballades, fast-paced and driving themes, short interludes, solid synth-pop, dreamy and spherical audio figures or spaced-out unnerving industrial synthesized sounds. Not sure if get pumped or pondering about the world any life.

And all of that of great composing quality, no fillers at all! What a delicious treat for the ears! 5/5
