Blow-Up presents Exclusive Blend Vol 1
« on: February 07, 2023, 03:55:45 PM »
Does anyone have a FLAC copy of this to share. I'm particularly interested in the track Rocky Mountain Runabout. On a recent share of KPM 1044 I noticed that around 0:17 in there is an anomaly which comes across as a muffled, slightly delayed version of the track and appears on the left channel. It's best heard on headphones. The same anomaly appears on the demo track on KPM's website so it was not a fault with the original share. It seems to have been unwittingly introduced by KPM when transferring recordings to digital format I suspect. However, I believe the anomaly doesn't appear on the Blow-Up compilation - certainly not on the mp3 copy I have. It would just be nice to have a good copy of the track in FLAC.

Incidentally I notice from Discogs that when released commercially in 1968 on an album entitled The Champ by the Mo'Hawks it was credited as Rocky Mountain Roundabout. This poor track seems to be jinxed!

Thank you so much Fuzi. Yes, this version of the track is fine. In fact comparing the two the anomaly stands out clearly. Reassuring to know it wasn't just me going weird. Nerdy maybe but not weird! :)
