Founded in 1976 by Doug and Patti Wood, Omnimusic has grown to be one of America's most respected and successful independent production music companies, providing world-class production music to thousands of film, television, corporate, web and mobile producers around the world.

The company is based in Port Washington, New York, just 30 miles east of Manhattan. Our 200-plus composers and our proximity to the world's richest pool of musical talent helps keep Omni on the cutting edge of sound and musical styles.

Omni maintains a state-of-the-art recording and production studio, and emlpoys the latest high-speed digital delivery systems to provide music and related services for an international clientele.

In addition to being Omni's senior music producer, Doug is also the Writer Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).

This is by no means a complete Omnimusic thread.  I am putting the albums I have here, which is about half of the CD run and a couple of LPs to fill it out.  Omnimusic re-released most of the LP run when CDs came out.  They packaged them 2 per CD, and in at least one case, 3 per CD.  A few of the LPs were broken up and strewn across several different CDs, as in the 2 Lifestyles CDs.  Sometimes there will be a CD that has all but 1 or 2 tracks from an LP, and those will be on a different CD all by itself among other albums.  It's a pretty big mess and very poorly thought out by Omni.

I don't know the origin of the 2 LP rips, but they are very clean and sound like CDs to my ears.  Everything else came from BMG production music.  The catalog prefix used by Omni on their website and on BMGPM is OMN instead of OMCD like on discogs and elsewhere, so it is the one I have used for this collection.



All albums are 16bit/48kHz FLAC except the first two.
