The link works alright, thanks MusicMuzak.
Fay Gibbs certainly gave us Test Card enthusiasts a few headaches, there was a thread on here about her company, shame it’s gone. Does anyone know the real identities of composers like Gordon Bennett, Thomas De Silva or P.A Ludlow please?. I’d take my hat off to whoever manages to track them down!!
The problem is, that the artists that Ms. Gibbs used quite liberally across entire tape's worth, (or half tape's worth), of tunes are actually of entirely different artists. So, those that came under, 'P.A. Ludlow and Friends', for example, were actually by several different artists.
You'd better get your hat off, even it is only briefly, as I've had a limited amount of success with this. Albeit with only a small selection of titles, particularly with one specific tape in mind. That being, 'Looks Good, Feels Good 2.' I've found all but 2 of the tracks on that tape, via various methods. Some by sheer luck from listening through some of the albums uploaded on here, it has to be said. Once one is identified, then the rest of the album is scrutinised as well as other albums by the same artist, or even label, to see if there's any more to be had, as those who compiled the tapes would often use tracks from the same albums, but not always.
