Here is a green record from 1971 featuring a colourful rendition by the Maestro Franco Tamponi and his orchestra.

Carefree melodies with a brilliant rhythm section, cinematic and descriptive tracks, a few dramatic, nostalgic and grotesque digressions. A delicious cocktail of music.

Tracks as "Malidia", "La Terza Ora" and "Reminescenze" are very nice indeed.
"La Terza Ora" could come from an Italian crime film from the early seventies, as closing theme.

Although it says "mono" on the labels and there's an "M" in the catalogue number stated on the cover, it plays in full stereo.

Only recently got around to this one - thanks a lot! A fantastic LP.
There are many highlights on here, but from a composition standpoint I think especially "Fughetta in bossa" is a cool concept, and one I don't think I've ever seen elsewhere.

The 'sound' on this album is a very familiar one... I wouldn't be surprised if that's Rino De Filippi on piano/organ/harpsichord and Alessandro Alessandroni on guitar on here.
