As teased in
this thread, I recently received a parcel containing three mysterious, sleeveless records courtesy of a generous benefactor, who was nice enough to lend them to me so they could be digitized and shared here!
Many, many thanks to you! It's a real treat to be able to have a rarity like this on-hand.
This is the first of the three - and what a rarity! This is one of the obscure
Edizioni Musicali Volga LPs, each (confusingly) released on their own one-off label in very limited quantities.
The record features works by none other than Nora Orlandi(!) ("Attide"), notable RCA Italiana engineer Guido Podestà ("Kordes") and a few others with whom I am previously unfamiliar; Orlandi's late husband Franco Di Biagio ("Tianas"), son Gianfranco Di Biagio ("Nogin") and one Andrea Dorigo ("Sorpais"). With a wonderful blend of electronic and acoustic instruments, it sounds to me like this LP may have been recorded on Amedeo Tommasi's wonderful collection of keyboards and electronic gear, and features what I assume is Orlandi herself on wordless vocal.
Enjoy some great, calm moods well suited for a laid-back Sunday
