Some De Wolfe Favorites
« on: February 17, 2019, 03:24:34 PM »

Here are some of my favorite de wolfe's, my rips in flac.  Condition of the records varies.

3185 - Bumper Bundle - 1971
www45.zippyshare.com/v/OtEGknBk/file.html

Full of great tracks.. my favorite is the last one, Rollin' Easy.

3222 - New Target - 1971
www45.zippyshare.com/v/Cq99RMQV/file.html

I like the different time signatures used in some of the tracks.

3298 - Soul Sarabande - 1975
www45.zippyshare.com/v/gmdLhQ0a/file.html

I can't count the number of times I've listened to this whole album.

3405 - Meeting Point - 1979

3350 - Man Of The Moment - 1976
www45.zippyshare.com/v/gxF8Tua8/file.html

Unfortunately this one has quite a bit of background noise.

3138 - Power Drive - 1969

Not sure why I uploaded this one.  Time to give it another listen.

That is quite a coincidence Retronic!

It never hurts to have more than one copy of a rip.  Handy when one or more tracks on different rips are noisy.

Indeed; I actually took it off the turntable and did something else - might as well use yours!  I've ripped a fair few De Wolfes this week if you need any to fill a gap  ;)

It's impossible for me to pick a selection of De Wolfe favorites -- the label is one of the all-time best, imho.
These are great, Andrew. Thanks for the upgrades.

Thank you so much Andrew for the rips and recommendations! I'm getting sucked more and more into this label I've been a bit lazy with. It's always been around and most of the releases I've heard have been great, no matter from which decade they've been from. But I've been mostly checking the albums that have come in my way, not so actively digging for new stuff. I think I finally saw the label in its full glory with the last bunch I got, and I'll surely be checking a lot of De Wolfes this year.

Thank you very much. 3298 is Simon Park - very talented - no wonder you listen to it so often. His Eye Level album which was probably the first to feature Library Music on a commercial release is one I enjoy playing over and over.

Isn't "Supercharger" one of the many De Wolfe tunes from this period featuring Jimmy Page on guitar? I just saw a note on that in my old file for Bumper Bundle.

I had that Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle as a kid! Probably still have it in storage somewhere.
What a cool toy. I would revv him up and make him crash 'n burn in the most absurd stunts imaginable... those were good times.
