Thanks for your hard work, Dylan!

Just curious, do you run through an amp, or just direct to turntable? If you don't use an amp, I would highly recommend it.

I'm using a Realistic Lab-270 to an Akai 313E PRO Interface
Every once in a while I notice something off or have the feeling maybe I need a better turntable, but really am not fluent in that area.
Based on my experience (hardly enough) I'm assuming that what I am picking up through the interface is the "raw" very flat output from the turntable.
Sometimes I'll go in and EQ a bit, but If there is a better way or a point in a different direction that would be highly appreciated!

Any recommendations would be awesome! Thanks Stack

I'm not the best person to give you recommendations (we have plenty of techies here better equipped than me), but I do know that running through an amp will boost the sound output for full spectrum -- it sounds like your recordings are being run directly from turntable to computer, which gives it that very flat, low boost sound. Is the Akai supposed to work as an amp? I'm not familiar with it.

Hello.

Thank you for uploading these albums DylanDylan.
But unfortunately, the sound quality is rather bad.
I really hope you can make them sound a bit better.
Thank you anyway for sharing them with us.

Yep. Like an un-amplified sound.

AHA!  ;D

Sometimes I run into the strange recording that can't be placed. Does this ever happen to you?

Back in 2012, I downloaded a curious sounding / looking record by a man trying to sell radio stations on a new music service. Sound familiar?

I didnt' fully understand this record at the time, because I was just getting hip to this music we love. I only knew this was related to Production Music but didn't connect the dots at the time, especially since I'd never seen an actual Money Machine recording until this morning.

So I kept the recording, hoping that one day, new clues would emerge as to who, what, where, etc.

Today, DylanČ has shed some light on this former mystery.

This record is a mixture of sales talk and snippets of music. The .zip seems to be 320 and exactly as I downloaded it. I learned that the original Media Fire link still works only after I've only after reupping it to Stiffy Share.

All credit goes to the old Basement Curios blogspot, RIP.

When I saw this thread, I got excited because i knew that the mystery was solved and that I had to share this mp3.

Thank you very much, DylanČ and everybody else who uploaded some musical goodies.
