Another Strange Question

Hi!
I am looking for this CD rip.

I only have a bad vinyl version of this album, and the quality on this CD sounds a lot better than the vinyl.
The uploader says it's ripped by "bloodyroby81".
Might anyone know this person and can help me get in contact with them?
Otherwise, if you have another CD rip of this album, that would also be helpful.

Yep, that's the same one I have.
It's not a CD rip, I believe it is vinyl...
I can't say I have a strong opinion about spreading transcoded files around, but I sure do with spreading low quality files around, and it's kind of annoying that everyone seems to have this same bad quality copy.
I remember on this rip of the album a lot of the saxophone recordings are clipping or doing something, I don't know how to describe it. It's in a lot of older music, like Motown stuff with vocals and 70s jazz piano recordings that I've heard.
I haven't listened to it in a while but I remember the video with the CD rip had none of these features.
I got one of these vinyl rips from Retronic, and he said that the records they put this music on was not of the best quality, as I remember hearing these albums didn't sell very well.
Perhaps this is why they switched to CD.

Odd I didn't find it that bad a quality. Obviously it could be better but I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand. I presume it's because you're from the CD generation and expect absolute perfection whereas I grew up with vinyl and am, perhaps, more forgiving of less than perfect recordings. I'd certainly be interested in hearing a CD rip of this album if you ever come across one.

I believe that BRM 1 Italian Hits was posted on this forum, together with a host of other Ariston titles earlier in 2026. I'd expect that's where I obtained a copy, probably the same as Nidostar's  file. The cd version might be slightly better quality but the vinyl rip is clean.

Quite probably most labels were still issuing vinyl until the late 80s or early nineties when compact discs become the leading format
