Got Loads of Library LPs Spares & Doubles
« on: Today at 09:08:44 AM »
I've always had lots of doubles but never sold any but a couple of people asked if i had spares and that plus the super hot weather made me get them out of the attic. I was worried they'd warp in the heat a the attic is like a hot box. Luckily they hadn't and here they are.  There are more than this- box of Mozarts and other bits and bobs- I didn't really dig around so may be more bags and boxes up there.  I know I have 100's of CDs but there for another day.

These are just spares?? My goodness Retro you have more spares than most of us have in our entire collection. You really struck gold when you came across this lot all those years ago.

Yes, gathered over the years.  They are all over the place so it was good to start pulling them together.

I think I just struck gold! It's Hanna-Barbera SFX Library on LP in part 2 of the video, seen at 1:18

And oh, there's "100 Sonovox Jingles" at 1:23. Something I've never seen or heard before.

I like to have a digital collection - but once you already have a bit of physical media, it is worth to grow the collection both physical and digital.
It must be a great feeling to have all of these, to be able to touch them, to drop the needle and put the cover while listen to it. The symbiosis of the media and the player resulting in something that drives us - music - is something oddly special. When I bought a CD for ChinYunZi I test-played it in my parents CD rack. It is as weirdly magical to take the disk, the player turned on and press PLAY. Like flipping actual papers of a book.

I always had a 40-disk CD rack and I am glad I don't have it anymore and my appartment would not sustain shelves upon shelves for that but if you have the room I can only say I am a tad envious.
