GRML-0026: Jazz Rock (2003)
« on: June 09, 2026, 08:29:19 PM »

Yet another Groovers Music Library album!
Someone requested this one on my last post, so I decided to post it.
I think the music reminds me of the music used in the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Special. What do you think?
Enjoy!

Yep. I believe that if you're not using these tracks for some type of media, it's not essential to have the extra shortened and underscore versions.

You're welcome!
It's been on my list of stuff to put on LMT for a while now, so I figured I'd get it out of the way!

I think he is right with what he exactly says except for underscores. But I highly doubt anyone here listens to the 29/10-second versions, let a lone 6 different 5-second stings or different cold endings when they listen to their music.
For collection sake: Yes. But else I would not want to get a random drum rimshot from some album's 78th track that plays back an alternate ending of main track #7 on the same disk :) Maybe as shock therapy.

Haha, that made me laugh..!
I think the only other thing worth collecting of this album is the underscores, because sometimes I don't like the synth melody they use or something like that. A random drum rimshot sounds pretty pointless, unless I was sampling it!
I'm happy you guys are having a little reunion here! ;D

I disagree. If one approaches library music like stamp collecting ie collecting for collecting's sake you're probably right. But I would argue that those of us who want to focus on the music would normally be content with just the full versions or underscores.

If people want to share complete albums for those that want them that's great, and if people want to share incomplete albums for those that want them that's also great, but perhaps it would be better if people who are sharing incomplete albums mention it so people that are only interested in complete albums know that it's not for them. (The other way around is not an issue, as people can just delete tracks which are surplus to what they want).

There’s absolutely no need to apologise DD19. You are entitled to your opinion and not everyone here disagrees with you. Keir’s proposal offers a compromise which could work. The only snag for me is I don’t always know which of my albums exclude the shorter cues. Some do some don’t. But, as the expression goes, you pays yer money, you takes yer choice!

If you don't know you don't know, someone else can clear it up if they know or can find out, most people are reasonable and appreciate all shares made in good faith! And either way there will be people who will want it and appreciate it!
