"PERIPLOS"
Guy Bezançon se consacre à la création musicale sous différents aspects: nombreux récitals d'orgue, œuvres de musique mixte et instrumentale, musique électro-acoustique, radios, disques, musiques de scène et de film. Si la musique électro-acoustique tient une place importante dans sa recherche, l'improvisation et la composition à l'orgue restent son domaine privilégié, domaine dans lequel il est considéré depuis ces dernières années, comme l'un de nos maîtres, et l'un des principaux protagonistes. Cette activité de compositeur a toujours été liée a un travail graphique et pictural, simultané et constant.
Le disque présent, destiné aux images, passe aussi par celles que nous portons en nous. Ainsi, Guy Bezançon a imaginé un voyage dans le cosmos et à travers nous-mêmes, un périple, où l'univers matériel et celui de nos rencontres, se trouve lié à celui du cheminement de notre vie intérieure et spirituelle. Dans ce disque réalisé dans le studio de Guy Bezançon, ont été utilisés un orgue Allen, des synthétiseurs, des percussions, des bruits et des sons naturels divers.
Guy Bezançon dedicates himself to multiple aspects of musical creation: numerous organ recitals, instrumental works as well as mixed music, electro-acoustic music, music for the radio, records, theater, and the movies. Although electro-acoustic music has a major role in his research, improvisation and composition for the organ remain his personal preference and for several years now he has been acclaimed as one of the masters and leading protagonists in this domain. This involvement in composing has always been linked to an ongoing, simultaneous, graphic and pictorial work.
Intented for visuals, this record also awakens our mental images. Guy Bezançon has thus imagined a voyage into the cosmos and a journey ("Periplos") to a universe where, through ourselves, the real world and our own experiences are linked with the progress of our inner and spiritual life. This recording was made in Guy Bezançon's studio, using an Allen organ, various synthesizers, percussion, artificial and natural sounds.
