Been thinking about these charming ads that were produced for the Western airline company in the 70s, and got curious about the music used in this particular spot as performed as diegetic music. The arrangement of the 1812 Overture at the end has been identified via Aha, but the other two I haven't been able to get an ID on (the Hawaiian music and the "contemporary" rock tune with a lead electric guitar). My theory is they might have been some of the library music that was packaged for Gordon Zahler's "Globe Music Corporation", which was the source of a cue used in another one of these ads (an uptempo circus march composed by Darrell Calker), but I have no definitive way of knowing.
