I've not said anything regarding it, but the uptick in ungratefulness and "thank you, but give me more" mindset among newer users has been noticeable, and it's depressing to see this kind of mentality creep its way in here.
A lot of these types of people are only interested in self-serving, instant gratification, usually brought on by an upbringing of never being told "no" due to any variety of factors. Not to say those who may have impaired development and/or developmental disabilities are all like this, far from it, but those who do behave this way tend to be the loudest, the greediest, and the most ungrateful.
Personally I'd say for the longevity of this forum that further instances of behavior like this in new users should warrant some kind of punishment to show that acting like this has no place in this community. Some circles of the Internet (namely Twitter) will try and claim "but gatekeeping is bad!", but all too often bad actors in communities are not kept away or weeded out early enough, and said community will eat itself alive and become a shell of what it once was.
We shouldn't necessarily seek and destroy with trigger-happy fingers, but to keep this community stable, ingrates should be dealt with accordingly, no matter what conditions they may have or are dealing with, because that's no excuse to act like the people here who aren't made of money and don't have every library album ever produced owe you anything.
