Still trying to understand some things.

I had a question.
I understand most things on this forum, but there's one thing I don't.
What do the colored squares by your profile sign indicate?
Mine are yellow, I have 2.
Some people are green, and have 5.
Do they indicate ratings or something?
I'm confused.

I can’t say this is a definite thing as some forums can set them up differently. However, they are usually posts specific. So, they will increase over a period of time. The yellow is for normal members and green for admin. Some forums have different colours for say those that donate to keep the forum going, super users or whatever the admin decide. So, for example the squares increase in posts of 50.  All depends on the forum defaults for users and posts.  Retro and the others should be able to see that in the admin panel.

So, I have 5 yellow squares based on posts made and do distinguish between a normal member and a member of the admin team.

From my observation number of squares shows "how much engaged you are" on this forum. And since algorithms on forum like this, I guess, are not too advanced, they calculate it by how many posts/comments you post.
Green squares are admin-only.
These are only my observations.

Yup! It's tied to how many posts you have. As you continue engaging with the community your "rank" increases. It doesn't really have any significance beyond the purely cosmetic, at least at the moment.
