I understand where you are coming from. Though just because most lettuce are green does not mean all green vegetables are lettuce!

It's just that we had a similar issue with the Non-Library Section a few years ago. It may have been before you joined us. A member started sharing easy listening albums which did not have any library connection. It resulted in the entire Non-Library category being suspended. I wouldn't want that to happen to this category.

Don't get me wrong. I'm a great fan of soundtrack music just not on this library forum.

I've now had a chance to look at your post again. Unless I've misunderstood, in which case apologies, you seem to be under the misapprehension that all music used in movies constitutes library music. Were that the case then eg John Williams's Star Wars theme would be considered library music which it obviously isn't. The quote you provided from Wikipedia isn't entirely accurate. A better definition would be "Production music (also known as stock music or library music) is recorded music owned by a Production Music Library that can be licensed by that library to customers for use in film, television, radio and other media." In simple terms unless the copyright of a piece of music is owned by a Production Music Library then it isn't library music.

As far as I can see/hear, royalstreet's  comp has nothing to do with library.
Also, ht name of the section "DIY Comps and Other Musical Creations", means littererly what it says, but in the library field only, as we're a library music oriented site only.
Easy.
