Earbro Music Library
« on: August 06, 2025, 02:16:15 AM »
Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but there's a South Korean royalty free music library called Earbro, which might be defunct. The only place to listen to their music is at their Bandcamp website, which doesn't have all of the albums. It could be that some of the albums got discontinued.

https://earbro.bandcamp.com/

It turns out the composers also did many of the ringtones that you can hear on old Samsung phones until around 2011, when they made ringtones for the Galaxy S3. They work for a company called WorkSpace, which is now called SRSC (소리솜씨), where they do the music for commercials.

The "Extreme" MAX Loop album has some tracks very similar to some of the Samsung ringtones.

Wow, cool find! I'll see if I can dig up some more info.

First of all, their soundcloud is still up too, with some more music:
https://soundcloud.com/earbrosound
they actually have several accounts: https://soundcloud.com/search/people?q=earbro

Their Japanese branch still has a storefront here:
https://earbrojp.theshop.jp/

and on Audiostock, here:

Earbro (이어브로) was a South Korean 'royalty-free' digital label of music and sound effects, based in Gangnam, Seoul.
Founded 2014 and run by 리앤루이스, they seem to have closed recently in 2024/2025.

Some of their Soundcloud uploads predate this launch, so they may actually have been operating from c. 2011 or earlier.

Not being at all proficient in the language, it's a bit difficult to discern all of the details here, and I'm not really sure if 리앤루이스 ("Lee & Louis?", "Leanne Louise"?) is a person or a company.

I did find some other names mentioned, however;
One 박병준 ('Park Byeong-jun'?) is mentioned as the leader of their marketing team(?) in the initial April 2014 press release announcing the launch of the label, and 이재동 ('Lee Jae-dong'?) is mentioned as representative/agent for the company on archived versions of their now-defunct website earbro.com (formerly earbro.kr).
They also had a Japanese version of their website for that market, earbro.jp.

They used quite a few different name variations, it seems. On their releases, I have found the label listed as:
"Earbro Music Collection"
"Earbro Music"
"Earbro Music Series"
"Earbro Music Library"
"Earbro Original"
- as well as just as "Earbro", of course.

... and also misspelled as "Erbro Music" and "Earro".

I'm not entirely sure what the signficiance of the different catalogue number letterings indicate, but these are the releases I could find:
