Created in 1971, The Wonderful Stories of Professor Kitzel was a series of 5 minute cartoons that presented brief profiles of some historic figure or event, presented by Professor Kitzel on his "time machine."  Both Professor Kitzel and the narrator were voiced by Canadian actor and media personality Paul Soles, who some of you might recognise as the voice of Peter Parker and Spider Man from the 1967 Spider Man cartoon.  105 episodes were made, and they aired repeatedly on Canadian TV throughout the '70s, and aired at times in the United States.  Here's a typical example:

The theme music was one of these variations of "Windsor Frolic," written by Johnny Pearson and released by KPM in 1967, edited down to fit the brief opening and closing credits.

Presumably the other music used in the series, such as the jaunty banjo piece that served as the theme for Kitzel himself, also came from KPM.
