Chappell and Bosworth Catalogs on eBay UK
« on: February 14, 2025, 03:23:13 AM »
While I was browsing around the web as usual, I found five library music catalogs on eBay UK, mainly from Chappell. Unfortunately, they don't ship to where I live (The US), but it's nice to see library music catalogs on eBay again. Here they are:

Very cool, thank you very much for showing these catalogs. There will also be catalogs from Fonit Cetra/Usignolo/Goldfinger?

It's always worth messaging sellers and asking if they'll deliver to where you are. They always say yes in my experience.

UPDATE: The seller that has the Chappell and Bosworth catalogs has put up more library music catalogs for sale on eBay. Not only did he put up some more Chappell catalogs, but he also put up at least one catalog from a few other labels, including Paxton, FDH Mood Music and Southern. The Paxton catalog listing is an interesting one, because it also includes a picture of the 1963/64 supplement list, which fills up a few more gaps in the 78 catalog.

Here are the tracklists for the 78s that had gaps before this image was uploaded:

PR.759:
A1 - Royal Charter (Conrad Leonard) (2:11)
B1 - Lazy Lover (Leighton Lucas) (2:58)

PR.762:
A1 - Wistful Waltz (King Palmer) (1:35)
A2 - Cuckorana (Harold Geller) (0:13)
A3 - Indolence (Harold Geller) (0:13)
A4 - Smokey (Austin Rayner) (0:13)
A5 - Sambette (King Palmer) (0:13)
B1 - Top Brass (Cecil Fry (Andrew Fenner/Walter Owen)) (2:00)
B2 - Battle Of Words (Peter Yorke) (1:03)

PR.763:
A1 - Drumming Hooves (Edrich Siebert (Stanley Smith Masters)) (1:12)
A2 - True Blue (Edrich Siebert) (1:43)
B1 - The Big Match (Larry Ashmore) (1:20)
B2 - Spirit Of Daring (Conrad Leonard) (1:35)

PR.764:
A1 - The Lonely Tree (Jack Jordan) (1:32)
A2 - Recreation Time (Peter Yorke) (1:33)
B1 - Spanish Holiday (Rupert Paul (Paul Lewis)) (1:25)
B2 - Highland Holiday (Rupert Paul) (1:08)

PR.767 - Four Moods:
A1 - Romantique (Dolf van der Linden) (1:44)
A2 - Whimsical (Dolf van der Linden) (1:18)
B1 - Dramatic (Dolf van der Linden) (1:15)
B2 - Comedy (Dolf van der Linden) (1:27)

Those later Paxton records are a great find! Thanks  WSBG Returns Yet Again

The only Paxton Atmosphere Archive tracks left to rename were the Alfred Austen Fanfare tracks.
One of the earlier Paxton Catalogue images had these tracks as
PR.555 Regal Fanfare 01 (10 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.555 Regal Fanfare 02 (06 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.555 Regal Fanfare 03 (10 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.555 Regal Fanfare 04 (09 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.555 Regal Fanfare 05 (15 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.555 Regal Fanfare 06 (13 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.555 Regal Fanfare 07 (13 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.555 Regal Fanfare 08 (07 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.556 Regal Fanfare 09 (07 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.556 Regal Fanfare 10 (16 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.556 Regal Fanfare 11 (08 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.556 Regal Fanfare 12 (07 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.556 Regal Fanfare 13 (09 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.556 Regal Fanfare 14 (13 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.556 Regal Fanfare 15 (07 Sec) (Alfred Austen)
PR.556 Regal Fanfare 16 (06 Sec) (Alfred Austen)

There were only 12 Archive tracks Fanfares A-L and I couldn't get the time lengths to match up with the above
Fanfare A (Alfred Austen) (10 Sec)
Fanfare B (Alfred Austen) (15 Sec)
Fanfare C (Alfred Austen) (15 Sec)
Fanfare D (Alfred Austen) (18 Sec)
Fanfare E (Alfred Austen) (11 Sec)
Fanfare F (Alfred Austen) (12 Sec)
Fanfare G (Alfred Austen) (20 Sec)
Fanfare H (Alfred Austen) (13 Sec)
Fanfare J (Alfred Austen) (11 Sec)
Fanfare K (Alfred Austen) (17 Sec)
Fanfare L (Alfred Austen) (12 Sec)

so I retitled them:
PR 555, PR.556 Regal Fanfare A (Alfred Austen)
PR 555, PR.556 Regal Fanfare B (Alfred Austen)
PR 555, PR.556 Regal Fanfare C (Alfred Austen)
PR 555, PR.556 Regal Fanfare D (Alfred Austen)
PR 555, PR.556 Regal Fanfare E (Alfred Austen)
PR 555, PR.556 Regal Fanfare F (Alfred Austen)
PR 555, PR.556 Regal Fanfare G (Alfred Austen)
PR 555, PR.556 Regal Fanfare H (Alfred Austen)
PR 555, PR.556 Regal Fanfare J (Alfred Austen)
PR 555, PR.556 Regal Fanfare K (Alfred Austen)
PR 555, PR.556 Regal Fanfare L (Alfred Austen)
