BRR 19 and BRR 20 use the same cover design. It is an uncredited image by Roger Dean that originally appeared on the 1971 Osibisa album Woyaya. Which is fitting since several members of Osibisa did most of the music on BRR 20 - Modern Africa. Their tracks are outstanding. Check them out if you haven't already.
Also, back in 2014, while working on the Discogs entry for
BRR 22 - Scotland/Ireland, I contacted Brian McNeill to see if he was the "B. McNeill" credited as writer of tracks such as "The Lost Fiddler Of Mull." He sent me this nice email:
"Brian McNeill here. Yes it was me who composed and played these tunes. At the time I was in the Battlefield Band, and the contact came through our then manager, Robin Morton of Temple Records, and that was where we did the recording. The only other thing I remember was being given absolutely no notice, and being expected to come up with tunes, so they were written while my wife drove me at pretty much breakneck speed back from Mull (hence the one title) to Temple in Midlothian. I've heard them as background on a few things, though, which is gratifying."
