[Surf] S/55 - Momenti d'Attualitą
« on: April 01, 2024, 07:09:13 PM »

Hello everyone,

here an album released by Amedeo Tommasi in collaboration with Silva Savigni, Leandro Piccioni and Umberto Santucci in the mid seventies.

The first side is pretty varied with a cheerful mood on most tracks, like the panoramic "Lassł nel Cielo" or "Groovin" with great electric piano.
Beautiful also "Cittą Industriale", in two versions, with a more dramatic feel.

Side two is quite hypnotic, full of underwater vibes, apart from the closing track, which is a grotesque march.

The design on the cover, as in the case of the other albums of this series, features a lithograph by the painter Tono Zancanaro taken from the first edition of the poem "Gli Sguardi i Fatti e Senhal" by Andrea Zanzotto (Ed. Il Tridente, 1969).

Enjoy!

[Surf] S/55 - Momenti d'Attualitą - music by Konnell (A. Tommasi), Montedoro (U. Santucci), Silva Savigni, Umberto Santucci, Amedeo Tommasi, Mantissa (S. Savigni), Pilean (L. Piccioni), Jarrell (S. Savigni), Leandro Piccioni

Rocco, this is such a rarity! Thank you so much for posting it here.

Great record, right my cup of tea.
Having to pic some track I would go for "Lassł Nel Cielo", "Sull'Autostrada" and for all the underwater themes.

Bless you!
G.

holy hell, another easter miracle!!

thank you, rocco!!!

totally digging the keyboards on the citta industriale tracks, and the funeral march is fantastic, sounds like something out of Kubrick's clockwork orange.

frankly, nearly every track is the best in their genres: e.g. passeggiata Allegra, and of course the underwater music, which is mind blowing.

thank you again for this gem, rocco!!

Sinfonie - LP 51 - VA - Momenti Musicali

Pretty - P/1001- Mare romantico

As far as I'm aware of, there are another two:

Silver - S/100001 - Sensazioni Sonore
Harmonie - H 201 - L'Arte Dei Secoli

Edizioni Musicali Volga/Delfino put out an outstanding series of "one-single-release" labels under their umbrella, giving birth to mind-blowing series like that about science and nature (Chic C 401 Scienza e Biologia, Rhombus RM 1051 Biologia Marina, Weekend WK 3006 Il Mondo Della Natura, Cardium K 501 Ittiologia, Musical ML 101 Insetti, Nereide ND 7001 La Natura E L'Uomo, Spring SP 4004 Panorami Ed Effetti).
Or this series we're discussing here. But also the two by Nora Orlandi (Niagara NG/2 Congiunzione and Mississippi MP/1 Idea) with those beautiful drawings that I would really like to know whose they are.
And all those ones with generic covers (I suppose) on labels like Angelico (Untitled), Prato Verde (Untitled), River (Diagenesi), Gold (Alternativa), Ayers Rock (Pulsar), Colori (untitled).

23 labels for 23 records...
A collection that's a dream for many vinyl collectors, with some shockingly rare releases.
Every single release is an astonishing record in my opinion (even if I still have to have a listen to a few).
A more unique than rare case in the library universe even in the wild and crazy sub-universe of Italian libraries, lol!!

ps - and who knows if some gem is still to be discovered...

simply love the lithograph sleeves and the track titled 'nuclear propulsion' on caleidoscope has intrigued me for quite a while.

rocco has yet again renewed my faith that more of these rare gems will be unearthed!! never give up!!
