TV Globo ID for 57th Academy Awards (1985)
« on: November 23, 2023, 05:10:24 PM »
I'm looking for this track that was used in the ID of the 57th Academy Awards in 1985 made by TV Globo (Brazil): https://twitter.com/jobaltazarbr/status/1727693304983085167

The same track was used in the ID of "Jornal Anhanguera" (produced by TV Anhanguera, TV Globo affiliate in Goiás and Tocantins states) in 1990's: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1tWCDiFXe8

I posted in another thread:

This is one of the few themes that Globo TV commissioned themselves so there is no physical release associated with it.  The brass section is very similar to the arrangement used in "Tema da Vitória" that became Ayrton Senna's theme during his F1 career also a Globo TV exclusive track and their most famous theme.

Never heard this theme but it's also similar in arrangement and key to:

and

being possibly composed by Eduardo Souto Neto.

Those were made in-house by Globo's musical arm Som Livre label that had a couple of composers that scored some themes for show openings and telenovelas during the 1980s and 1990s.

The traditional Supercine theme also was made in Brazil to the surprise of many chasing the origin of those themes.
