Howdy do, Folks!

This week I've got what I 'd like to call, a "New World Potpourri." All New World albums, all with credited composers/artists! First we've got the second outing from Brujo Publishing Inc. (the folks behind W 280-281), helming composers such as George Small, Paul Jost, Tony Davilio, Juan diaz, and Rich Malfitano. It's equally great as it's predecessor, with perhaps even more variety in genres/styles. Next, we've got Bill Loose's second New World outing after W 290-291. While not as enchanting, it's still a great listen with Loose's typical charm. Finally, we've got the complete output of one Vic Szczepanski, possibly the label's most elusive artist. While I could find very little about Vic Szczepanski, his albums for Robert Hall are easily some of my favorites for how unique they truly are. If anyone happens to know more about Vic Szczepanski's life and other work, please let me know! 

I have no clue who the original rippers for any of these albums are, but if anyone does know, drop me a line!

Heyo!

This week's batch is practically the polar opposite of the last one; this time, I've got all Pre-New World titles, none of which with composer credits. Firstly is RH 204-205, an early production music title. ASCAP reveals that the cut "Marsha's John" was written by one Alan Cagan, a composer most remembered for his work on early seasons of Sesame Street. Next is RH 212-213, one of the absolute best Robert Hall albums, written by the great Tony Luisi. ASCAP revealed Luisi as the writer of "Silver Buttons", and there's no doubt he wrote the rest of the album as well. Then we have RH 216-217, an album which, rather infamously, consists of cues originally written by Bill Loose for Russ Meyer's 1968 exploitation film, "Vixen!". After that we've got RH 240-241, an album very similar to it's predecessor, RH 238-239; there's some awesome percussion work on this record. Finally, we've got RH 246-247, one of RH's only Christmas albums, and a very charming one at that.

Heyo!

I bought myself some new Robert Hall albums a couple days back! These, as far as I'm aware, haven't dumped anywhere, so I'm very excited to share them with all of you. I've got three SFX albums, all closely linked chronologically, and my very first Robert Hall Audition Record! Lately, I've made an effort to pick up RH's lesser known, undocumented titles, including much of their SFX albums which aren't as readily available as their production music releases. I'm amazed with how much I've been able to uncover this year, and I'm looking forward to what I can unearth in the near future!

Howdy folks!

I recently purchased another copy of that Sound/Fun Effects Audition Record I shared not that long ago. The seller stated that the record included "several inserts advertising more SFX records"; knowing what these could be, I couldn't say no. Images of some these advertising flyers from Robert Hall do exist, but they're very old and in low quality, making them barely intelligible. I'm so excited to get my hands on these so I can really do them justice! I've included my scans of them below. There's so, SO many observations you can make from these pamphlets, but I'll leave them as is for now; I'm sure my pal apmnut could chime in with his own discoveries! I also scanned the original sleeve, since there are very few images of them available (let alone good ones).

Andrew H ripped RH 78-79, while someone by the name "DumpsterVinyl" ripped RH 48-49 & RH 52-53.
