No need to rip ATMOS 12 Retro, I do have a lossless rip and can up it today.
If you're still willing to rip some, may I suggest n.'s 1, 2, 3? They seem to be interesting.
Other than n.12, I can share lossless of n.'s 4-5-6-9-15-16-21-23-25, if needed.
Would be interested in a re-rip of ATMOS 04. The last FLAC that was shared seemed to lack something and to me was a bit 'tinny'. Maybe if anyone that still has that album could have a listen for me. Maybe that's how it was recorded, but just doesn't sound great to my aging ears.
EDIT - I had a listen to ATMOS CD 005 and one of the tracks I listened too 'Cruisin' definitely sounds better on this than the vinyl rip shared, so again interested to see if anyone has the vinyl and if it was recorded that way. More noticeable bass for sure and sounded much clearer all-round. That track also appeared again on CD 029 and had slightly more bass, less treble. Crazy ! Obviously not a big thing back then, but the engineers should have taken a bit more care and interest as each release is different. Makes me wonder about other releases on vinyl and CD and that the master tape could/would have potentially have sounded better than some releases on both vinyl and CD. Not just on this label but across the board. I remember others discussing some of the Bruton and Josef Weinberger re-releases recently that some didn't sound great.
ATMOS 1, 2, 3 , 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22 --- to my knowledge hasn't had any FLAC shares on LMT. To confirm, did the vinyl releases stop at 23 prior to the CD re-releases and new releases ?
Cheers, Tony
