kablamatic might have pinpointed a missing De Wolfe track from the Merry Mother Goose video.
"I think DWS/LP 3489 - Cuts for Commercials Volume 4 might have one of the last unknown tracks in "Merry Mother Goose Rhymes & Stories" (the Dr. Foster segment). I downloaded one of the albums, in which their tracks were re-issued on the "Novelty And Comedy" section of this album, but couldn't match the track, so I've narrowed the tracks down to
"Topside Up" by John Saunders, since he is credited for composing songs for what I believe to be his group, Astral Sounds, on the albums "Slipstream" (DWS/LP 3393)."
"The modern electronic instrumentation matches that of the music style, though some of the tracks, "Spink" and "Pongle" (both re-issued on Cuts For Commercials Vol. 4) did not come as close to what was used in "Merry Mother Goose"."
"Plus, the rendition of "Jingle Bells" used in the video was also re-issued on Cuts For Commercial Vol. 4, so that's why I also think this album may have been utilized for the soundtrack."
DWS/LP 3489 has not been digitized yet.
