MusicMuzak, you rock! I will sift through this large library (heh!) later! You guys (and gals) are such an endless ressource it amazes me every day! It has been a great visit since I joined in a half a year ago and I whenever I think I am done... there is more to check.

Thank you! Library music is awesome. There's always something new to search for and dig around for the tunes you want  until soneone helps and obtains it.  Enjoy and let ne know if you need any  :D

Okay, I've been busy with my collection a bit the past days, I realized that some of these album titles sound incredibly interesting and since I don't have a clue what that label is about, I'd like to randomly pick a sample over a broarder range of years, so if you could let me try these...

RMS/LP 113   Hard As Rock   1978
RMS/LP 122   Robot Dancer   1979
RMS/LP 129   Play On   1981
RMS/LP 136   Teletext   1982
RMS/LP 143   New Age   1982
RMS/LP 145   Drumatics   1983
RMS/LP 153   Tomorrow, Today   1984
RMS/LP 157   Breakdance   1984
RMS/LP 161   Reflex   1986
RMS/LP 166   Music Break   1986
RMS/LP 168   Audiotronics   1986
RMS/LP 178   Kinetics   1988
RMS/LP 180   The Next Stage   1988

...I'd be grateful. As said, I have no idea what these are, and while I am intersted, I don't want to overdue the requests.

Also, Parry LP, I remember the thread back then, but I am more in the mood about these more labels as I was back then.

These sound great. My musical taste is, as stated in my signature, mostly technology and industrial themes, but after I dipped my toes into some other pools I had not only to enhance the years to collect (after some funky BRUTONS were below my fixed 1980-limit) but also understood that even the - from my taste - off-putting record sleeve can contain inspriational themes. My first impression is usually the cover art, but I learned in the past weeks that this might be deceiving, just strenghten a very well-known phrase about books . . . :)

Yes, it’s one of the pleasures about library music.  So many good tracks hidden on dud looking records. Plus I find there is so much of it and my taste change so I am always discovering new things

In my opinion Bruton is awesome for technology and industrial themes. Explore them all if You get a chance. They are all coded by letter based on the type of music.  Divided into genres with different letters and and were coloured to match each genre. Give Bruton "BRL"  a deep dive.
Might be your thing.  :)

Here they are minus RMSLP 180 Next Stage. I can't locate that one, but it was reissued in CD on RMCD 2017 with additional tracks so someone may be able to help in request section. Enjoy!!!

Thank you so much for your efforts there! My download folder is growing with unchecked shares, so I might take some time :D

My favourite in that matter, when it comes to "Technology" and "Industry" is certainly CAVENDISH MUSIC. They pumped out albums that I'd never want to miss (Full Frontal, Optional Extras, To Every Action..., Blueprints, Dawn Traders, Breaking Glass et cetera). Despite it only released a bit more then a dozen of albums that hits the mark for me, I think I loved all of them and CAV is the most yielding in terms of "awesome tracks / album" ratio.

BRUTON and SONOTON are very guilty for confusing me very hard. SONOTON is the second catalogue I experienced in like 2008 or so, probably because Google knew my location it would suggest me this when I entered it (given that I just live 60 miles away from Munich) and I went through their library thoroughly. Just two weeks ago I learned about their "V" (Vinyl or vault, I can't remember) labelling and found delicious tracks. That made me re-visiting all the libraries again, and BRUTON is also guilty of releasing stuff in the mid-80s that are actually just re-relases from the 70s. I had to re-tag and request some more tracks then :) As said above, it was BRUTON that made my over 10 years existing rules of "No music before 1980" go poof (it was "Thug" from "Drama something-someting", 1978).

I also have a bunch of Parry LP tracks in my collection, but I remember it being more "rock'ish" and less synthesized and back then I kind of didn't haven a ear for that style; right now I feel my collection needs more poprock to be more balanced. So I am testing out some libraries I'd never thought I am appealed to.

By any chance were the later Bruton tracks on CD? Not sure but may be similar to Parry's CD releases - many tracks simply put on the CDs from earlier vinyl releases. Just a thought?

Bruton DRAMA/CRIME 2 (BRCD 16) has Thug and Bruton BRJ 2 - Drama Montage has it also. Me personally like to stick to just vinyl when searching for certain labels so to avoid doubling up but may miss some new nuggets but I'm happy to do that.

Yes, those Bruton CD compilations with the ridiculously lackluster covers - basically a solid colour with ugly font saying something like "Documenatry/Industry". Since that I used Discogs whenever I stumble over something that sounds it's being recorded a decade earlier. About PARRY, they also changed the songs though. For example, I have CONTACT BREAKER (PML122 - Videopop) from a share that came up a few months ago, but the CD version is either different or that particular version (maybe I have an alternative version while the CD just has the main version) is not on the silver disc, but I enjoy the LP version more. That's why I would request some PARRYs later when I went through my download folder.

Okay, I have done my sampling and WOW, this is exactly what I expected (read as "hoped") to get!
It starts being very disco-ish and ends up very synthesized in the late 80s! I had a great listen and pulled some tracks for my own collection almost from every album, making Rouge my 80th label :)

I am falling for "Just Moody", such an excellent track, would love to have a lossless album for:

• [Rouge] RMS/LP 110 - The Clear Light Band – Music Report

Can someone please share a link? Thank you
