celebrating LMT 10th anniversary
« on: November 07, 2022, 01:23:56 PM »
Hello librarians,
LMT is about to turn 10 years old!!
The very first edition of this tremendous forum conceived and created by Retro, opened November 21, 2012.

So, in a couple of weeks it will be our 10th anniversary.

This thread is meant to celebrate that day. 10 years... not a bad goal at all, isn't it?
With the hope of celebrating many more decades in the future.

Ok, but how to celebrate?

Basically, as you prefer!
Sharing your rips, asking for your most wanted, or maybe by posting your personal LMT's 10th Anniversary compilation.
We have a couple of weeks to go, unleash your imagination!

For now, from my part... Happy 10th birthday LMT!!

Doesn’t time fly. I remember it was set up with extremely low expectations and here we are, a decade on keeping the music alive. I might do an Anniversary mix and let’s hear your most wanted FLAC and we’ll see what we can do between us.

It's a pleasure to begin posting something, for me.
So here I'll post a nice 60's orchestral record I found time ago as a digital release.
With authors like D'Amario, Scoppa, Umiliani, Santucci you just can't go wrong.

Enjoy.

Happy 10th anniversary, Library Music Themes!

My most wanted album is Production Toolbox #3, by Chameleon Music. It has a nostalgic track (to me) in it!

Only Retromatic has it, so I don't know if I'll be getting it soon...  :'( He hasn't been active since October, and his stuff for ripping CDs doesn't work anymore.

And I never thought there is a forum dedicated to such things and I thought downloading those demo files from DeWolfe like a child collecting bottle caps secretly made me weird :)

To BenKirb, Retromatic is apparently being busy. I talked about his musrc website and that most of it was virus and trojan infected anonfiles, he said it was a mistake to use that service to host and that he has not the money (or has it but it's just expensive right now, I can't remember) and time to fix all of it. Every file was a trojan, it was ridiculous. However, as you might have noticed on the bottom of musrc.com: He updated it just 2 weeks ago. I remember prior to September, it was updated in 2021. Or in other words: Things are moving there. I downloaded a few interesting albums and, to my surprise, all of them were clean. So there is something going on, and your hopes can be still up :)

Okay. Thank you!  :)

But I'll probably have to wait several months...  :(

Amazing!! Ten Years! One of the only sites that has brought nothing but joy. No politics. No negativity. Just ace music!

Happy Birthday LMT

From day one we didn’t set out rules and to this day adopt an attitude that people are largely well intentioned and we’ve not really had to do more than a polite PM to iron out minor issues.  People should be treated like adults and if they’re idiots ignore the behavior. Works in life- works on here.

I have just seen that I have been with LMT since probably 2014, the oldest thing I can find is an email from myself asking to re-join after LMT went.

Happy 10th Anniversary LMT and here is too many years to come. Thank you very much to all the staff here who have endlessly made this place awesome.
