Just getting around to listening to this last batch... there are some fantastic Ivor Slaney crime jazz selections here!!
Agreed! Slaney's "Hi Fi Fi" from DW 2662 is great, but Julius Steffaro's "Tea House Shuffle" from the same disc is the stand-out track for me. That entire record is very, very good. Also, 2671, 2690 and 2691 are all killer.
I'm happy you all are enjoying these. I have thirteen new rips in the works; I just need to photograph the labels. Also, I recently bought 49 more random De Wolfe 78s, but I'm afraid most are going to be doubles. Hopefully, there will be about a dozen new ones. Stay tuned...
