;)  Always been a favourite label and been meaning to rip them for a while. Three more lined up. Then the Contrasts in Jazz trio. I might see this to the end- only 44. Glad you’re liking them.

I'm skipping some as this recent ripping period was down to me buying a 400gb Micro SD for my portable music player- double what I had before.  So I could suddenly record reams of records that would never fit on before and I'm slowly filling it up.  I want to record the better records first and will probably also skip 9022 - Blue Grass Breakdown and 9031 - Chicken Pickin'.

Defintely more to come.....

Thanks for the update on your plans and methods Retronic. I'm very patient and never mind waiting, sometimes for years.

But since you brought it up, Micro SDs aren't something I've ever used, therefore I'm not familiar with the pros and cons.

Do you find using a Micro SD easier than hooking your portable player up to a larger capacity portable HD?

https://www.seagate.com/consumer/backup/

I'd love to hear the opinions from persons with practical experiences. I've only ever used the big HDDs and for me, they're lifesavers.

Also, if you'd rather answer on another thread, or pm, so as to not derail your sharing thread, I totally understand. I just had to ask. Could resist, y'unnerstand...

Thanks for your time and practical experience. And for your PILLs, btw. Muff likes his PILLs, doncha know  ;D

I still have Samsung external HD's (I've stopped buying Seagate as the last one stopped working and I lost a ton of rips).  I had stuff dotted around among several HD's and if I'm looking for something there's at least three I search through (which Is why I usually just ask eher-- it's quicker normally!).
I bought a new one and decided I'll, for the first time have it ordered by label so I can be methodical about what I've ripped.

The micro SD is in this Hi-res player which I use for listening to whan walking to work mainly.

This is the reason for the rips-- I'm using all my spare time working through these...
Just in life, I get disracted.  When I walk down the garden to get a trowel I see the birds need feeding and then next minute I'm cleariing uo the pug poo.  Same with this-- I'm on a mission with the Sonotons and then a Peer catches my eye or someone on here requests something and my attention shifts to that.  I actually like it that way.  That's the reason I'm skipping some-- if it doesn't look as listenable I'd rather rip something else and if there's room later on the SD card I can do it then.
Next in mind I have Standard but want to do Impress & Josef Weonberger as well, IF I don't have my head turned by those foxy shiny Intersounds..... :-*
Onwards and upwards....

Don't mean to clog your thread, Retro, but for what's worth, I use 2 duplicate backup HD drives (3TB each) and I also burn everything as archives to DVDs, just to be safe ;)
On top of that, I catalogue everything I have in a Word document for quick reference, organized by label and cat#

For listening, I just maintain a 128G iPod, rotating out labels whenever I feel a change

Hey Stack- does your Word doc reflect what's been shared and what's not over the years?  Would love to have something like that-- and even better the quality of the best rip to date.

No, unfortunately I don't keep that level of info. My Word file looks like this:

From my HD files I can get some idea of the date I modified something, by checking the date column:

I need to get more organized!
Anyway three more for Sunday enjoyment.

PIL 9014 - Zenith

PIL 9015 - Sun-Seeker

PIL 9016 - Gemini

www62.zippyshare.com/v/mOTSNJCQ/file.html

I did a couple of PEER compilations a while ago- One was called 'On the PILL'.  I should have called it 'PILL Pushing' instead.
I can't remember what the other one was called.  One was my favourite tracks and the other was a mock sampler- with one track for every release.

NOTE:
I just found the other one- it was called Fabricated Pop.
