Glad to hear that Janko Nilovic is in your plans! Yeah, I noticed you have mostly british and german composers. It just seems to me that in the world of library music the triad of the UK, Italy and Germany rules. By the way, I really liked your Yan Tregger selection. I've listened to some of his stuff before and I found him to be a very interesting composer. Most of his tracks are interesting and how to say it, feel professionally done and creative. I have a similar feeling when listening to Nilovic...

P.S. I had hardly ever listened to maestro Morricone before. I knew him, respected him as a legend, but I didn't listen to him, preferring to seek out the lesser known. And listening to your compilation made me realize he's really great. His melodies touch the strings of my soul. “Un sacco bello” especially touched me emotionally. Very beautiful.

Except for the text, the design is stolen, just like everything else.

Finding a good picture for a cover is an art. Putting together a good compilation of different tracks is an art. There is an expression, “steal like an artist.” You create your own work from different pieces. I sometimes try to find interesting pictures from that period, the 60s and 70s. I especially like Italian movie posters. You know, there was an artist named Sandro Simeoni, whom I learned about from the cover of “Giuliano Sorgini – Under Pompelmo.” To be honest, I love this cover; it really captures the spirit of that time.

Thanks tuneboy. Plenty to get my teeth into here. I've already spotted Cycling by Otto Sieben to bear an uncanny likeness to Bring Me Sunshine the song made popular by the UK comedy team Morecambe and Wise and Ted Heath's Johnny One Note the final bars of which were used to open and close a children's news programme on the BBC called John Craven's Newsround.

A BREAK AFTER THESE
I'm taking a break from compilin' after these two. At least for some weeks.

Vol 237 (the "special edition") is special because there's nothing new on it, just some of my all-time favourite library tunes, all comped elsewhere in this series. Most of the tracks on it are from my vinyl collection, some are upgrades from previous rips. Most of those tracks once worked as eye-openers (ear-openers!) for me, making me see that there had to be more delights to discover in the wonderful world of library music.

Thanks for the latest couple tuneboy. It'll probably take me the next few weeks to catch up with all you've uploaded this month. As for volume 237 I think you're entitled to a touch of self indulgence occasionally. Have a good break.

Once again, thanks so much, tuneboy. Spot on, as always. Great taste in music.

Enjoy your time off with much needed rest and relaxation from the library music world. BUT, we look forward to your return!!

Cheers!
