[JZ-Disco-Club] TST 77 854 - VA - Best.-Nr. 001: Beat Hits, 1973 h++ps://www.sendspace.com/file/da6hi0
(.mp3) h++ps://www.sendspace.com/file/aibmqg
(.flac) This appears to be the first in an intended series of mail-order LPs that took their material from Library and soundtrack albums. I don't know if any others were released. This is the only one on Discogs. A rough translation of the back cover reads:
"Become a member by sending the application form. For the amount of DM 10, every quarter the latest LP will be sent from the program. Members also pay only DM 10 for other LPs. Non-members pay DM 14.50. LPs with beat, jazz, pop, folklore from many countries and spirituals. In the year, four long-playing records will appear. Delivery at the beginning of each quarter."
3rd Quarter 1973: Beat Hits
4th Quarter 1973: Christmas Carols
1st Quarter 1974: Songs and Dances from Africa
I could identify where half of the tracks came from by the titles. Four of the unidentified six have "beat" in the title so maybe they were re-named to tie in with the theme of the record. Does anybody recognize them?
