Kroniki Filmowe Polish Library Music 1963 to 1978

Illustrative, background music was for years treated as a lower category production. However, one only has to really listen to the pieces that accompanied various editions of the Polish Film Chronicle to realise how many pearls were there waiting to be discovered. And if one took out the voice-over, got rid of the pictures and left the music by itself? “Kroniki filmowe” invites you on a trip to an alternative dimension of Polish popular music.

i really love the packaging/presentation and selection of from this compilation; mainly comprised of jazz groups covering a wide spectrum of themes- from opening tracks to celestial adventures into space. i also love the fact that the compilation isn't comprised of too many tracks- a mistake i feel very many compilations make which result in a fatiguing listen riddled with a few too many fillers.

i personally approve of this record

Thanks for posting this! GAD have done some great reissues during the last few years. I really like both Krzysztof Sadowski and SBB, which is a plus too ;)

this is one of the albums released by gad records - he has forgotten the most beautiful compositions unfortunately - Mikołaj hertel  the sounds of the distant world cd.

mikolaj hertel -spleen. A complete misunderstanding is a completely different
hertel  unacceptable disc - the reptile looks blindly skips beautiful compositions from the 80-85 and releases quite other discs badly received but it is worth listening to it is not the hertel  I knew

JK thank you so much for your contribution.
I was not aware of Mikolaj Hertel.
What a great artist he is.
Looking forward to hear more of him.
