For me it's always been about the music rather than the format. My collecting days go way, way back to when 128kbps MP3 was considered a breakthrough. Yes, nowadays I try to grab FLACs when I can and have been ripping my CDs and LPs in FLAC for some while. But I still have a large number of MP3s and get as much enjoyment out of listening to them as I do listening to the lossless tracks. I recall not so long ago a member of this forum could not understand why people still continued to share music in lossy format. I think that misses the whole point of what this forum is all about. The music. When MP3 is all you have be thankful that you have anything at all.
