Oceans Alive Theme, 1977.
« on: Today at 04:06:21 PM »

Oceans Alive was a Canadian series that debuted sometime around 1977.  Narrated by Tom Cherington it featured footage of sea life from around the world.  And not surprising for 1977 had disco music as a theme.  Anyone recognise it?

It continued to air on stations of the Global TV Network and its affiliates into the late '80s in reruns.  Yet strangely there's no IMDB entry for it.

Ooops, I should have looked the end credits of the full episode Retrontario recently put up.  It's an unnamed Parry Music track.

And that unnamed Parry Music song it's actually called "The Mad Mechanic", by Paul Zaza, from the album PML 02 - Disco Pop (1977).

Thanks for the quick ID.  Looking Zaza up he's had a long and busy career.
