It appears that the My Music Archive channel hosted by You Tube has been closed down. I don’t know who ran the account however, they’d uploaded hundreds of production music records, including rare Italian labels. The channel appears to have been going for a few years and this year they have added content each day, with the final additions a few days ago.

I don’t know the reason for the closure but I suspect that a copyright strike might be a reasonable explanation of its demise. It might be advisable for this forum to take extra care with links to files. I was only thinking the other day how much of the music content on Internet Archive is ‘pirated’ and with various blogs offer downloads hosted on file sharing sites ‘in the cloud’. It’s worth remembering that there’s people who would love to spoil the party.

This is sad. This was one of my favorite youtube channels, it was probably terminated. The channel owner is on the forum as "mrmonarch".

I'd say the channel was terminated due to some of the track he's posted being copyrighted, as in not allowed to be uploaded to YouTube without a license.

Well now i don't see myself uploading full albums to my channel since that could get me possibly terminated (it's probably not because of uploading full albums specifically, just some tracks being copyrighted)

Still. Be careful uploading certain pieces of music on this site, and if YouTube's Content ID since you probably shouldn't upload it (or something along those lines) then don't upload it to risk copyright and termination if you aren't careful enough.

You can create a new YouTube channel again. Not a big deal.

Just make sure you don't upload anything that YouTube can detect.
You can create a separate hidden channel just to test what YouTube can / cannot recognize before you upload them officially to your new channel.

Good luck!
