The ENTIRE Multi Use BGM Library Collection
« on: April 20, 2026, 04:04:35 AM »

The time has come.

Everyone at LMT, I present to you...
The ENTIRE Multi Use BGM Library Collection.

It took me a year and two months to have rips of every album in this series.

Released by Teichiku Records LLC in the Japan, early 90s, the Teichiku BGM Library (or Multi Use BGM Library) is a music library featuring anything from jam session fusion tracks to Ambient music to even fun takes on classical music. There's something for everyone here, so I recommend you check it out.

This music library holds a very special place in my heart.

For one, it's the first music library I discovered, and I loved it from the start.

And it means even more that it's the first music library I have collected fully by myself and a few friends.

This series is the reason why "BGM Day" exists.

It's the reason I'm on LMT.

So if you talked to that person discovering Teichiku BGM for the first time a year and two months ago, I know he would be very proud of me. I still am very proud of myself too.

In the set, the first 15 albums are CD rips we either bought or found. Some are lossless, some are just CD rips. None are significantly bad quality. Some are WAV and some are m4a.

5 of those are classical albums, the other 10 are Original Sound Collections.

from volumes 16-25, it is ripped from cassettes. They're not the best, but they work. Volumes 16 and 19 have a bad cover image because they're so rare I was only able to find one image online, and it's not a scan. I did also provide a few CD rips from those albums I received too, but just a few and not everything.

The albums on cassettes do have CD versions too, which is why there's a few CD rips I put in, but I'm still working on getting the CD rips. There's also ending versions exclusive to the cassettes, like Jingles but cropped to the end of the song.

Of course, this wasn't all me. I've made a lot of friends along the way and met a bunch of people...

So, I'd love to give a huge, HUGE thanks to my friends and everyone else who helped in this crazy search: ChunYinZi, Hando, 上澤 / KamiSawa, 竹蔵, Vnysp, crabbyboy, Sadai, rsodq, Hideaki Yahagi, and Hibiki Sato!!! You guys are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

I hope this is enough music to get you through the week ahead. ;D

please... enjoy!!!

You can save yourself a lot of uploading bandwidth if you converted those wave files to flac first

Ok, but I personally prefer WAV because it loads into iTunes/Apple Music which I use for private uploading. FLAC doesn’t do that, so I always have to convert to WAV or m4a. The ones in wav and m4a are how they came.

For sharing purposes flac would be preferred. Your scenario is an edge case and flac is lossless. My link proves it is.

Ok BWP, I may or may not work on that. I'm currently working on other projects, so I'll try my best.
I'm glad you like this collection Daryl!

Don't get me wrong I am grateful for your upload. Thank you very much.

But there are problems. The aforementioned format is simply the pirates' preference and it is strange seeing people upload wave files. That's just preference though, if you think it is inconvenient to decode to wave for your personal collection, I can tell you with enthusiasm how incredibly inconvenient it is for me, as a windows user to have to delete the __MACOSX folder that is included inside the folder of nearly every upload from a mac user as well as the extraneous empty DS_Store file it makes in the root folder. So sometimes you make a tiny extra effort to upload things that don't include useless files, or you take a tiny effort to make flac files for users of other operating systems. Just me.

Several of these albums you have uploaded in wave format are lossy conversions. The rips that have .log files show full frequency, as would be expected, the .log file is the provenance of an actual proper CD rip. The ones that do not have .log files all say they were made by this converter fre:ac - free audio converter in the metadata and they all are lossy, with a frequency lowpass cutoff of 16khz, 128 mp3 quality at best. The exception is Volume 13, this looks full frequency despite not having a log file. Volume 13 also doesn't say fre:ac - free audio converter in the metadata either so there is that. Wherever you got the listed wave albums from did a dirty convert sorry to say.

The albums without log files that are lossy are Volumes 4, 9 and 10

I got those 3 albums from my friend Hando.
He originally sent them in a Windows audio file but I couldn't play them since all my devices are Apple, so I had him convert them to WAV, because it's what I prefer. I honestly don't care about the lossy files for now, I'm just happy I was able to find the entire series.
I got volumes 1, 2, and 13 from ChunYinZi, in which I know those 3 aren't lossy.
Volumes 3, 5, 6, 8, 11, 12, 14, and 15 are from my friend Hibiki, who used m4a format but they are from a CD rip.

Other people may care about lossy files. In fact, I am positive they do. You uploading files you can check to see if they are lossy on purpose is contributing to the scourge of lossy converted files. It is irresponsible.

I would HIGHLY encourage you to take down Volumes 4, 9, and 10 and upload the source files instead. What you have done here today is contributing to a bigger problem that is endemic in this trading scene specifically.

If you don't have the originals for these 3 albums, leave them off of the upload then. Don't upload flac or wave files you know are lossy. Ever.

Well I for one am grateful for the wav files and I don't mind the arduous task of deleting the macosx folder!

Is there a copy-and-pasteable set of track titles anywhere for the tracks that are currently untitled?

I can give you them. It will take time but I can do so!
Which tracks are untitled, the ending versions?

I've found that the easiest way to delete the Mac and associated files is to do a search of the folder where you've saved the downloads, particularly handy for larger collections.

I understand that Mac owners have a way of automatically omitting including the extra bits on shared items.

By the way, thank you for sharing the BGM collection.

You can remove these albums from the pixeldrain folder. I suggest one more time that you do.

I refuse.

If I take the three albums out, I think it makes this whole post worthless.

Since you're a collector of music libraries from America and similar regions, I don't think you understand how difficult it is to find these albums and get a hold of them.

Most libraries from Japan don't even have places where you can listen to a preview of the album. You can only buy the CDs to have the audio.

I have researched and researched for hours straight about this library and I only found one other person online who owns the entire collection. And they're not willing to share any of them, which is why everyone here should be very grateful I'm willing to share this collection to LMT.

If you think having lossy files here at LMT is disrespectful of some kind, it is my post and I can keep the lossy files if I want.

Plus, all of the three lossy albums are classical albums. I don't think you'd care anyways.

If you truly are interested in them, there always seems to be CDs online of the classical albums.

You can find some here:

auctions.yahoo.co.jp/search/search/%E3%83%86%E3%82%A4%E3%83%81%E3%82%AF%20%E3%83%9E%E3%83%AB%E3%83%81%E3%83%A6%E3%83%BC%E3%82%B9/0/

Although they say they are new, I cannot tell you how long they have been there. I bet the owners really want to get rid of them. If you happen to buy them, maybe you'd like to share your lossless copies with me/the rest of LMT if it satisfies your pleasure.

Otherwise, I'm not sure why you'd make a big deal about it if you don't even want to download and cherish the albums.

If you want them as FLAC files, you can convert them yourself. I don't mind the extra bandwidth or whatever.

I hope this helps.

So you refuse to remove albums you know FOR FACT are transcoded? That is malicious.

Convert the albums to something that matches the waveform like mp3 and add them back in. Hell, I'll convert them myself and send the files, but think about refusing for one moment.

The converted mp3s are in this folder:

pixeldrain.com/l/XZcCETC9

I'm not having a go at you here friend. I am trying to keep transcoded files out of the trading scene.

Remove the waves and replace them with those mp3s but for the ethics of it alone, don't spread transcoded files on purpose.

That is reprehensible.

I'm not sure why you'd make a big deal about it if you don't even want to download and cherish the albums.

I see your pixeldrain folder has 234 downloads. That means other people intend to treat the music as you hope they would, and those people do not deserve to be given fake files. You have to assume those people might give a copy to one or many of their friends with or without software assistance. This is how something like handing out transcodes can snowball and now you have contributed to a big problem everyone hates.
