Serpico (1973)
« on: April 10, 2026, 04:19:02 PM »

There's not really a lot of music in this film, but in addition to the Mikis Theodorakis/Bob James score, there are a few library cues.

Standard Music Library, ESL 123 "Small Group Pop"
- Battle of Boogaloo (Chris Spedding)
- Sly (Herbie Flowers/Roger Coulam)

Studio One S.O.10 "Juan Erlando and His Latin Band"
- Mango Jango (Tony Tape)
- Jungle Baby (Hans Ehrlinger)

Capitol Hi-"Q", Reel X-83/Reel X-84
- Danish Polka (Ib Glindemann)

See "Battle of Boogaloo" in use here:

Never knew that and always love to hear them in context.

This appears to be the first use of Ehrlinger's Jungle Baby.
