A media company from Japan, Media Works Japan focused on Video and Photo libraries as well as their own music library.
I think they are still active and alive, but their music library hasn't had any new additions in probably around 20 years.
It seems on their website, it's frozen in time. There's a CD print ad from 2002 on there from them, and their newest Sound Maker release seems to be Sound Maker MP3, as they seem to really be hyping it up on there. I would guess they're pretty old, because MP3 is sort of outdated now.
I own some Sound Maker rips, though not all of them, and I also own a single from a Shizen album. That's about it. We plan to buy more in the future.
There are many different sections in their music library, but their flagship product and largest section is their Sound Maker music library.
The release dates are unknown in all their CDs, but I found some info on their website
"1990: Nationwide release of the royalty-free music library CD “Sound Maker”"
This means that the first 2 or more Sound Maker albums were probably released in 1990.
I like all their music, specifically the Music Salad Series and Shizen series.
