"Safe" or as much as it can be from the world at large. We all like sharing files and no money is involved however, it's usually copyright material that's shared and some would rather have the forum shut down for sharing content.

Hotlinks would appear on search results and by not having 'clickable' links helps to keep things running well.

This is a very neatly explained paragraph @redwave
Is it worth adding a "new here?" section pinned at the top and making sure newcomers read it beforehand?
A sort of rules of engagement, but less ICEy:)
