Music De Wolfe - Action, Not Talk (1983):

got this one for cheap and it still appears to hold no value haha. i bought it after hearing 'Enigma', and later heard it in various old Notre Dame football tapes. doesn't really get any better than that first track, and its part 2. 'Counterpunch' at the end is also decent, and 'Action, Not Talk'. some okay driving disco sounds, but as whole it really just doesn't elevate to a higher level. not sure why i've held onto this as long as i have.

verdict: SELL!

Little late to the game here, but very good thread! Enjoyed reading all your reviews  ;D

I actually sold off every remaining library record I owned between 2018 - 2020 as I have em all safely archived to WAV and CD-R, and the vinyls themselves were just collecting dust in the closet for years.

Yep, I remember selling that to ya around Christmas of 2015 (1 year over a decade ago! time flies fast). Classic LP....one of Walter Murphy's best from the day.

Intersound - Plastic Popsicle (1977):

put this one on today. i always remembered this thing being full of heavy hitters, i was wrong haha. starts off okay with the disco track 'A Hurricane Called Jane'. then takes a nosedive into various genres until we come back up for air with 'Light Interlude'. once i flipped over to the b-side i was reminded of my favourite of the record 'Dreams Are Free'. it's a great fluffy disco track! it's followed by the pretty good title track 'Plastic Popsicle'. the last two tracks have some decent bits in each, but overall just okay. i enjoy some the songs here but i think it may be finally time to let this one go.

verdict: SELL!

Studio One - Pearls (1976):

another Gerhard Narholz in the collection. the spindle hole on this thing is massive, someone carved out a huge hole. decent start to the record, but really the lone standout for me on the a-side is the great disco piece, 'Face To Face'. the flip side fares much better. 'In Love Forever' is another great one, beautiful strings. towards the end of the record is the very Barry White sounding slow groove 'If Love Is Young'. the ender is my favourite though, the fantastic tune 'Say Yes!'. i always revisit this tune. worthy of a keep.

verdict: KEEP!
