Norman Dane
« on: January 19, 2026, 06:05:50 AM »
Hello everyone.

Does anyone know where the "Norman Dane" (A.K.A. Ole Hoyer) tracks that appear on CPM and SOHO Archive albums originally come from? I know they are not originally made for the albums as they sound very old, plus, Ole Hoyer passed away in 2002, and i believe the Norman Dane tracks started being re-issued by Carlin in around 2004 or 2005.

If i would have to guess, i believe that maybe they were originally from newsreels similar to Gerhard Trede's library, or maybe they were originally composed for film and tv? or an extremely obscure library? I searched Discogs and nothing on the "Norman Dane" page looks like anything that could've been on the Carlin and Soho albums.

so if anyone knows where these originate from. That would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks! :)
